Aotearoa Music Awards opens voting for JD Sports Tā te Iwi | People’s Choice Tūī

Fans can vote for their favourite finalists daily through NZ Music Month.

Voting for the Aotearoa Music Awards JD Sports Tā te Iwi | People’s Choice Tūī is now open. All AMA 2026 recording artist finalists are eligible.

AMA is proud to partner with leading global multi-channel retailer of sports fashion brand JD Sports to present the award, the winner of which is decided entirely by public vote.

In 2025, Hamilton rock and metal mainstays Devilskin claimed the title with a touching tribute to their loyal fans.

Fans from around the world are able to vote for their favourite artist/s up to once per day through May – New Zealand Music Month – until voting closes at 5pm on Tuesday 26 May (NZT).

Fans simply click on their favourite AMA 2026 artist in the voting portal and follow the instructions to place their vote.

This year voting fans who are over 18 can enter a draw to win show-only tickets to attend the live 2026 AMA event on Thursday 28 May at The Civic in Tāmaki Makaurau.

The winner of the 2026 JD Sports Tā te Iwi | People’s Choice Tūī will be announced and awarded at the event.
